Hi! I’m still here. Life has been crazy lately. In a good way. I’m not sure where we left off, so let’s start from the semi-beginning. I’m settling in nicely to my new job. It’s different, but the work/life balance is much better. On top of that, the goats and dogs are thriving. From the picture you’ll see I’ve also added ducks into the mix. I ordered ten Welsh Harlequin ducks and they sent sixteen.
I prepared for 10. I was not prepared for sixteen. But, I adapted and ordered a lot more supplies and ALL of them have survived. They’re now 4 weeks old. I’m loving my mini farm.
Which brings me to more news. I love animals. I always have. There has always been a part of me that has wanted to save and help animals. I’ve just never known the best way to go about executing my desire to do so. Now, I do. I’ve begun the process of looking into setting up a nonprofit Animal Sanctuary. It’s something I’m truly passionate about and I cannot wait to begin this journey and take you all along with me.
Now, don’t think I’ve stopped writing, because I haven’t. In fact, tonight, I bought a new cover. SOOOOO, words are coming. Big things are coming. Thank you for sticking with me. Thank you for coming along for the journey. I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
