Early this morning a little bit after midnight, I finished Addict. To be completely honest with you, I cried a little bit after I wrote ‘the end.’ This book has taken two years to write. I had every intention of releasing it a year and a half ago. The cover reveal was that long ago, but it took until last night to finish.
Not only that, I finished it in probably one of the worst headspaces I’ve ever been. As I was writing last night, an ending came into my mind so vividly. It was an ending I had never intended to write. It was not the ending I had already sketched out in my head. It was the right ending for this book. As I read through the ending, even though I had tears streaming down my face, I smiled. It is the perfect ending for Addict.
I hope more than anything that all of you love what I’ve done with Addict. This book has consumed me for so long and it feels so exciting to finally be able to share it with all of you.
