The release of Vanished! I am so excited. As of Friday, I uploaded my manuscript on Amazon for the pre-order and release on Tuesday. Today, I’ve uploaded to iBooks, Kobo, Barnes & Noble and other locations, so it will be live on all platforms on Tuesday.
I’m so excited I can’t wait for release day, but I’m also nervous and anxious. There is a point after I finish and upload a book that imposter syndrome sets in. It doesn’t matter this is my 9th book, but I go through all the emotions. I worry what I’m putting out isn’t good enough, that it’s not as good as my last book, that people will be disappointed.
It goes on and on, but I know other authors feel the same way. It’s this moment or moments where you kind of just doubt all the effort you put into your last project. It passes eventually, you just hope it passes quickly.
For me, the way I try to get around it is to focus on the excitement part. Excited I finished another book and excited to continue the series. This book ended up turning into what I feel like is an episode. It’s a huge episode that sets up the series even more than what has already been laid out. I am so excited for Book 5 and exploring each of the couples relationships and diving into even MORE killers. Before book 5 though, there is a standalone I’m working on.
Since I’ve babbled my way into it, my release schedule for this year is, Vanished, Book 4 in the Quinn Winters series, is releasing on March 21, 2023. Whispered Secrets is a standalone romantic suspense read, with a TBD release date. Title Unknown for Book 5 in my Quinn Winters series, with a TBD release date. These are all this year though <3. I’m so excited for you to read all the crazy I have to come!
